BATMAN and the principal

Some people would have experiences hearing this: "To the principal's office!! NOW!! " I do have one too. And it was because of Batman. Yes, the superhero who I was crazy about when I was 7 years old. But instead of saving me, this superhero putted me into trouble.

When I was at kindergarten, I lived in Texas, U.S.A. Like almost every kindergarten did, we had a naptime. Whether you like it or not, we had to sleep for a few hours. I had a Russian friend, named Kseniya, and one day both of us did not want to sleep. We laid down as the teachers said, but did not close our eyes. Instead, we started chatting really small. And suddenly, I don't remember what came out of my mind, but I suggested her to draw some pictures! But we didn't have anything. Luckily my friend found a gray crayon on the floor. The carpet which we were laying down was also gray, and it was dark because the lights were off, so we thought, "Nobody will know that we are drawing some pictures! It's all gray!" So we started drawing some things. At that age I was crazy about batman, so I drew a big batman symbol, and my friend drew some flowers and other stuffs. Suddenly, the lights went on, and our teacher screamed, "SOO!! KSENIYA!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" we were so in trouble. Because the pictures were all drawn with purple! My friend confused its color because it was dark! Well, we were so panicked, just sitting and just about to cry with fear. Our teacher held our hands and said, "To the principal's office, NOW!!" to think of it now, it was too harsh for seven year old kids! The principal laughed when he heard what we did, but called our mothers to school. My mother rushed to school, I don't know how many times she said sorry! And Kseniya's mother came too. She held her daughter's hand, and walked out from school yelling at her in Russian. I cried and cried because I was so sorry for my mother. She punished me hard, and I swore that I will never do that again.

After that, for days there were purple stains in the carpet, and every time I saw that I felt guilty. My friend and I were cool, still friends, but didn't lay together at naptimes. And I stopped being crazy about batman, too. Still this is the worst trouble I ever made and cannot forget.
